Description
Our Peat-Free Fruit & Vegetable Compost is a blend of totally organic, sustainable, and natural plant waste material from the biogas industry and composted and screened green waste. Made in Somerset from composted grass, maize, and rye, blended with composted green waste, it is 100% natural, and contains a rich source of low-level nutrients to slowly feed your soil and plants. And most importantly it is Peat-Free, and a low energy option compared to coir and other peat alterative. Our unique blend of natural organic products will provide the perfect balance of air spaces, drainage and water holding for better root growth – it will also slowly feed your crops too for a season, as well as add natural beneficia microbes to the growing environment, which peat can’t do. Not only is our Fruit & Vegetable Compost eco-friendly – even our bags are sustainably sourced. Made in Southampton – maintaining our ecological footprint by saving on airmiles – from 30% recyled plastic, the bags are 100% recyclable in all supermarket bag collection points. You can also rest assured that our products are Soil Association Approved for organic growing and contain a natural source of N:P:K. All in all, this is a product that has minimum impact to Mother Nature, and maximum impact on your homegrown produce. Use as a general-purpose potting compost for all types of fruit bushes and trees (except blueberry where we recommend our Ericaceous Mix), as well as established vegetable and tomato plants in tubs, planters, and larger pots. For sowing vegetable seeds, we recommended our finer GardenGold Peat-Free Seed & Cutting Mix. NPK 3:1:2. 100% Vegan friendly, and animal and child safe. 100% peat free and natural.
